Snake Tongue started up in 2014 releasing a 2 song demo and made their first live apperance sharing stage with Doomriders and Coliseum at the bar L’Orient in Linköping. In spring 2015 the band made a short tour in Germany and Denmark trying out their material and finding their approach. During the summer they finalized the recording of their debut album Raptor’s Breath. Most of the album was recorded in HoboRec Studio with Ulf Blomberg, and the remaining parts in Dead Sparrow Studio with Angus Norder. The show with Doomriders got the connection to GodCity Studios where Kurt Ballou (Converge) was given the job to mix Raptor’s Breath. The band then got in touch with Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise) at Audiosiege to do the mastering and Mattias Frisk (Vanhelgd) to do the artwork. All artists are well thought out and choosen to help bring out the essence of Snake Tongue.

The layout for the band was created in 2011 when a band called Scorched Earth, was created and had within six months released a 7” and set out on a 47 days tour in eastern parts of Europe. Upon returning home the band gradually imploded, leaving only Martin Shukevich (Shades of Grey, Future Ruins) and a concept. In 2014 Martin went on and recruited Patrik Lindecrantz (Svartenbrandt, Restless Knights) on vocals, Samuel Enocsson (Grace.Will.Fall) on drums, Fabio Accardo (Radiance, Lothüs) on bass and Niklas Thorgren on guitar. As Fabio left the band Fredrik Petersson (We Might Say Farewell) entered on guitar, letting Martin switch to bass and backing vocals. With the line up settling and new members adding material and ideas, Snake Tongue now became something other than the original concept. Samuels drumming, Niklas riffs and Patriks lyrics and vocals all gave new dimensions to the sound. Ulf Blomberg that recorded the album was previous a member of Scorched Earth and played with Samuel in Grace.Will.Fall. That made Ulf perfect for catching and helping to create the sound of Snake Tongue.

Snake Tonge is today: Patrik Lindecrantz (Vocals), Martin Shukevich (Bass, Vocals), Samuel Enocsson (Drums), Niklas Thorgren (Guitar) and Fredrik Petersson (Guitar)

TID

Fix Idé contains six songs. Six different scenarios and six different dreams. Ranging from dark apocalyptic dance music to soundtracks to a dreamlike wandering in ones mind trying to kill reflections of a dark past. With lyrics written in classic verse that brings to mind something old and long since forgotten or hidden – now found and accompanied by Tid’s music, this is a highly different album and band. The references to their music are legio, and the wells of inspiration know no boundaries. Tid is music and artwork. The band sees the two as highly connected and completing each other. The band writes music with artwork in mind, and makes artwork with music in mind.

Tid is a Swedish four piece orchestra that makes music best described as dark and dramatic, on the verge to filmscores; that being the main influence for their music. Majestic, mystic and dreamlike music that brings pictures and scenarios to mind. Like a suggestive soundtrack to the escape from the everyday world. Tid is flirting with musical styles long since forbidden by the anxious and wary, thus expressing a wide range of feelings and ideas that might have a positive effect on the stagnated yet seeking and exploring music lovers in the world.

Fix Idé was produced and art directed by Tid, and engineered and mixed by Niels Nielsen [Mastermind and Producer of Dead Soul].

Lizzies 9 track album ‘Good Luck’ is an outstandingly fresh debut that showcases and impressive blend of shades of rock and metal. The band has a unique approach and an insaciable hunger for hooks and great melodies backed by a really strong capacity for composing simply good songs. ‘Good Luck’ was recorded and produced by Ola Ersfjord (Dead Lord, Tribulation, Primordial) in Terrrasa and Madrid and it’s been mastered by Magnus Lindberg. The artwork has been handled by Mario Rivière (Adolescents, Muletrain).

Patricia, guitar, states: “‘Good Luck’ is the result of an intense year of growth and evolution together. We were looking for something fresh and catchy, something that lasts! Recording it was as natural as possible – no metronome, playing together…- which was an amazing experience we will never forget thanks to our producer, Ola”

Lizzies are a four piece heavy metal act from Spain, which perfectly combines both the aggression and the melodic edge of classic NWOBM with a breathtaking fury and dedication that results in an impressive blend of energy and attitude rarely seen among young bands like this. They were formed in Madrid in 2010 by Motorcycle Marina (bass) and Patricia (guitar), who recruited Elena (vocals) and Saray (drums) before they started playing shows all over their home country. Their impressive riffing, and most specially their strength and power onstage, helped the band building an outstanding reputation that took them to play in Germany (Metalheadz Open Air & Headbangers Open Air), Sweden (Muskelrock) and England (Live Evil) and also to become one of the most promising bands of the underground scene in Europe.

MaidaVale is a rock band that met and formed in Fårösund on Gotland, Sweden, in 2012 at “Ella Music Education”. Ill Wicker

Gothenburg based Ill Wicker declares with their second album ” Untamed” that prog-rock is still vital. During dark gatherings a charming and seductive tale of the “Untamed” is told. The seven chapter story folds out in a place were the rules set up for acoustic folk is not applied. The circle of six that is Ill Wicker have extended their sound and they are stretching out their arms around a larger universe vibrating of beauty, demonic desperation and life.

Ill Wickers nature is tastefully-composed stories of words and music here mixed up with strophic  ballads that could have been, and sometimes are, taken out of the traditional mold. Between ritualistic percussion and the driven violin is a choir of harsh harmonies, strings and organ emerged as by an old barrel organ. Untamed is a poetic and yelping liberation from the system´s norms viewed through the kaleidoscope.

The album was recorded in legendary Silence studio in Koppom that have given the birth to albums from artist like Träd, Gräs och Stenar, Kebnekajse, Union Carbide and Motorpsycho. Silence Studio, is´s surroundings and the history got an enormous amount of connections to Ill Wickers music on several levels.

Given that their name is so self-consciously draws from what retrospective historical views have come to term Acid Folk, it’d be easy to assume that Ill Wicker must be studied, unoriginal and unduly reverent. In reality, though, nothing could be further from the truth. Whether it’s because of the relative geographical isolation of their base, their semi-communal approach to living, their youth or their roots in traditional Swedish folk music, the fact is this remarkable six-piece from Gothenburg burn with such fire and intensity that it’s almost as if they stumbled upon their own dark forest magic in a hermetically sealed universe parallel to that in which Comus and the Incredible String Band once existed – as if two people in two different places discovered electricity via two different routes. Yes, that good…..” -Hugh Dellar, Shindig!-Magazine
